From 12 May to 18 May 2025, we celebrated Neighbourhood House (NH) Week alongside all the other incredible Neighbourhood Houses across Australia. With the theme ‘Ripples of Change’, we opted to celebrate the week with a Donation Drive for the Gisborne Foodbank.

We called out to our community for support, and they answered!

We were thrilled to see students, staff and volunteers alike getting involved and supporting those in our community who need it. We feel lucky to know and to partner with this fantastic organisation and we are so excited we were able to support the important work they do in this way. Thank you so much to those who donated!

While this drive has ended, the Gisborne Foodbank accept donations year-round. They are open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 am to 3 pm (entry is via Heritage Way at the rear of the Uniting Church in Gisborne). If you need support, don't hesitate to contact them on their mobile # 0492 850 520.

Interested in donating? They not only accept food and toiletries, but also accept cash donations which are then used to purchase food. Every donation will help!

Keep an eye on their Facebook page, Gisborne Foodbank for updates on items they are in need of.

For further information, head to their website https://www.gisbornefoodbank.org.au/ or reach out to them today!
